First of all, how old are you? Just wondering, as the scope of such a project would be enormous.

Anyways, if you're looking for a publisher, there are a few things you should know.

  1. Ideas aren't enough. For a company to back your product, you're going to need to present them with a complete product. If you're just in the idea stages, or if you do not have a completely polished, fully featured product to show potential sponsors, they're going to skip right over it. Companies are looking for something profitable and unique to get behind, and ideas are cheap and common.

  2. Who are you marketing towards. Is your game going to be marketed primarily towards children? Young adults? You're going to need to know all this, as well as figures and facts towards your target market. Just saying that kids will love it won't work, you're going to have to prove it with a lot of market research. Investors need research to prove to them that their money is going into a worthy cause.

  3. You need to put forth more effort into this than anything in your life. This is true for any startup or product. To bring your card game to life, you're going to need to pull all the stops, invest a lot of your own money, and painstakingly work day and night to bring everything together. You're going to fail a lot, succeed very very little, but the only way you're going to get through this is by giving this everything you've got and then some.

I could probably list a dozen more points, go into even more detail, and proofread this a bit more; but time is a precious resource. I'm sorry if I sound like a downer; but truthfully and realistically you're going to need to sacrifice a lot to start something like this up. It's an incredible learning experience, but don't get discouraged if you fail. Just pick yourself up again, take in the critique, and further polish what you've got.

But as a simple answer: if you look at who your game is marketed towards, you should be able to figure out what kind of companies to present your card game to. Formally set up a meeting, and go from there.
