Wow what a dream! Thank you for sharing it.

I’ve just lately started to be able to remember my dreams again. I have just recently started looking for meanings of them. In other words, I am probably the last person you need to be commenting on your dream. But it will be a learning experience for me too. So here goes.

Considering that you had a visit from your mother just after burning sage, smudging your home & sprinkling sea salt & asking for for negative energies to leave & making a point of inviting positive energies to visit. I take it that you are seeing this as a positive visit, or maybe not?

Placing herself just inside your door seems as though she wants to get your attention immediately. Asking for a hug I think would mean she comes with good intentions. I don’t understand why she could not hug back unless this is her wanting you to show the affection or maybe it is you wanting to give the affection freely. A hug is usually a sweet & comforting symbol in dreams.


I have read to dream that your eyes are closed, suggests your refusal to see the truth about something or the avoidance of intimacy. You may be expressing feelings of hurt, pain or sympathy.
