What I'm getting is the similarity of what is called a "splash panel" in the comic book business. It is usually the first full page after the cover and provides the "hook" to get you interested in the story line. Also am feeling some kind of "subliminal cuts" maybe. This is a practice of placing a film frame in a film to get one interested in buying someting without the conscious mind being aware. Someone or something wants your attention in any case.
