Men, they just don't listen!..lol only kidding to all you wonderful guys out there

Hey Laura...on a side note. I always leave my car doors unlocked, a key hidden under the mat and a $20 bill in the car. Why? I have two very good reasons:

Good friends of mine in Virginia...like 20 years ago...sister and husband locked their cars up every single night. A man came to steal the car and couldn't get in so he broke into the house to get the keys, the husband woke up and got into an altercation with the man that broke in. He was carrying a gun and killed the husband. My friends sister came running from the bedroom and he shot her too. Both died. All because this guy wanted the car. He was caught because the dummy still stole the car and every cop in the area had the license plate.

And then one night in NC, in the middle of the night, after doing a full day of spring cleaning, I was taking trash out to the dumpster. I came up on a peeping tom looking in another friends apartment. He started to chase me when he realized I saw him. Thank God, I was in close proximity to my car! If my car wasnt unlocked and my key wasnt under the mat...well, I don't like to think about it. I drove to Dunkin Donuts (only thing open at night) and called the police.

So, maybe it was a blessing in disguise that there were valuables in the car...it kept them out of the house!!!
