Hello All, I was wondering if any of you have experienced my situation and if so, will you please offer me some advice? I have been reading tarot cards for quiet sometime. I joined this forum because I wanted to further enhance my psychic abilities and perhaps expand into spiritual mediumship. A few weeks ago, I decided to use the cards to try to get some information regarding a cold case murder mystery that I read about in the Philadelphia Inquirer. I decided to pull some cards before bed time and to think about those cards and the question I had as I drifted off to sleep. That night, I believe I had my first contact with my spirit guide and medium. An older man (my guide, I believe) told me who killed the murder victim and the motive. After the guide explained the cir***stances of the victim's death, I noticed the murder victim standing towards the side, listening to what was being said. When he was satisfied that my "guide" told the story correctly, he walked across between us, with his hands in his pocket, looking down at the ground. He never once tried to speak. He looked uncomfortable being there. After my dream, I could not get the murder victim out of my mind. I kept seeing pictures of him published by the newspapers and it inspired me to join a medium forum. It so turned out that one of the mediums on the site is the daughter of the "reigning "police of the town where the body was found at the time the body was found (in 1968). Prior to making contact with the other medium, I thought my dream was simply just a dream. She was the one who explained to me that the older man in my dream was indeed my spirit guide. Unfortunately, the whole experience proved too stressful for me. At heart, I am a tarot reader, not a medium. I did not enjoy having that heavy feeling and uneasiness I started to feel ever since I had the dream. I didn't like being woken up in the middle of the night, heart racing, for what seemed like no particular reason (again, which started happening only after the dream). So, I decided that I no longer believed in spirits. The "feelings" stopped. I was able to live life pretty much like I did prior to the experience. Well, yesterday, I took part in a psychic circle conducted by members of the tarot forum I belonged to. I was there as a volunteer. The ladies wanted to practice psychic readings with very limited help from their tarot cards. I expected to hear about my current life and future. That is what usually turns up when we do readings for each other. Instead, the ladies (who unknown to me were also spiritual mediums) told me they saw the spirit of a man that fit the description of the murder victim I had "contacted" prior. He was even acting in the same manner as in my dream. They felt afraid of him. They told me he was convinced that me and him were meant to be. Apparently, I reminded him of a girl he was attracted to in life. They say that he was actually actively preventing me from dating to keep me to himself. Our contact initially started off as me helping him find peace but after meeting me, the spirit decided he wanted to stay with me. According to the mediums, those on the other side wanted to help him and have reached out to him but he refuses to go. This piece of information explained why the mediums from the other group (professional mediums who have worked with the police) were unable to get any information regarding the victim, his death, or how to find peace for him...he didn't want help. If this is all true, then i really feel for him. I don't know if keeping a spirit around would be a noble thing to do, though. He seems very sweet but it just doesn't feel right holding someone back from experiencing the joys of the after life. The mediums from the circle were pretty rough with him (telling him to go, ect). I felt bad about the whole situation. After all, I do consider him a friend now.
