Thread hijacking is considered bad etiquette on forums, and many forums have rules specifically against it.

It's a form of antisocial attention seeking. I'm about 2-3 posts away from putting you on my ignore list. I'm just sayin...

Now back to the original topic:

I do wish the original poster would come back and comment. It sounds like it could also be related to Kundalini, since it happens during meditation.

I was listening to an Albert Taylor interview on Coast to Coast AM and he was saying the vibration state preceding astral projection is due to the mismatch in vibrations between the astral body and the physical body.

It's much like when two notes start out playing together and then one note changes pitch slightly - you'll hear a "binaural beat" that starts out slow, but the farther apart in pitch the two notes become, the faster the "beat" gets until it's a very fast vibration. Eventually the two will become distinct notes and you no longer notice the oscillation. This is like in astral projection - the vibration is only at the beginning, but once you're out of your body, it's gone.

I suspect the same thing probably happens as one raises one's personal vibration or goes into higher levels of consciousness. There may be a buzzing feeling of some type as you leave the old note and start ascending to a new, higher note.

I've had experiences during meditation or halfway between sleep and waking where I felt a distinct oscillation of energy - slower than a vibration or buzzing... almost around 8-15 cycles per second... right around the alpha level of brainwaves actually, but it was a feeling that went through my head, arms, hands, chest, and torso. Very strange.
