As cheesy as it sounds, despite all my other experiences, I believe the two years I've spent in nursing school have had the greatest affect in my life so far in every aspect.

I had to learn to trust. I had to face my past. I had to leave my shame and prejudices behind.

I learned that I could do something.

And I made friends, really, really good friends that became family and helped me survive it.
