I think it was your dad too. From what I read after my experience, any violet light represents a spirit guide. He was coming to tell you that your life is on track. This is all a part of the laws of synchronicity. Everything, every moment, everyone has meaning and is in our life to teach us a lesson.

I am sorry your dad died, but you should walk with grace and strength knowing that you will be with him in the afterlife and in many lifetimes to come.
