Something i've done for years is to see white light around all the doors to the outside and the windows wherever i am... and ask in prayer for protection and blessing on all the people and pets in the house...

I also ask for protection for myself, and healing, guidance and blessing. I thank God for all my blessings. I then pray for people who are sick and people in my absent (distant) healing book (i have a chinese book that i put names in, their conditions and when the healing started... (my healing guide is a chinese doc , Mr Funny).. and then I send light to planet earth (i see white hands of light holding the earth and pray for peace ..

then I put a cloak of protection around me - this is sometimes different colours - and finally a golden sphere of light and a cross in it...

this does help... I have seen lots of things in the night - visions, and people standing by the bed..

One night i was doing a reading the next day, and it was about 3am and I heard someone knocking at the door... I went in my spirit body to answer it and it was a young boy who wanted to come and see the person who was coming for the reading the next day. i explained gently as i cud, that he needed to come back the next day, and bless him, he did...

Protection is good and it helps... esp if u have people come in and out of ur house cos they bring vibes with them... i always mediate and tune in before a reading and ask for protection, and I ground myself, and I see all my chakras opening wide one by one, and I ask that the reading be for the highest good of the person coming for it.. Afterwards, i will sit quiet and give thanks for the clear messages and ask for healing for the person and dont close the chakras but protect them with white light circles. And a final cloak of protection.

Its hard for me being amongst great groups of people like shopping centres or concets and stuff, I pick up things .. so I always try to remember to put a cloak of protection round me psychically and ask for protection... a golden sphere of light works just the same.

Anyway thought u'd appreciate this.. lol
