Something else that happened there. I would always go to bed later than my mum... maybe about 12 or 1. Every night after getting in to bed, at some point before i fell asleep i would hear my mum get up and walk to the toilet (i was accross the hall to the toilet). it was sort of something i expected to hear everynight. I always assumed i'd woken her up coming up the stairs to bed, but she didnt complain so i always forgot to apologise.
I'd usually only hear her go one way, either to the bathroom and not hear her go back or i wouldnt hear her go to the bathroom but i would hear her come from the bathroom. I wasnt listening for her so it didnt surprise me that i wasnt paying enough attention to hear. The toilet never flushed but i assumed she didnt want to wake anyone up.
Anyways, one night just as i was going to sleep i heard the floor creaking outside her room, which usually meant she was going to the bathroom, then i heard a big thump as if someone had fallen against the wall. then she continued in to the bathroom,i heard her bare feet on the laminate floor and the door swing shut. The next morning i made ajoke about it, asking her if she had been drinking because she fell over. Her face dropped. she told me, not only did she not get up last night but it's extremly rare forher to even wake up at night let alone go to the toilet. She said she'll go tobedand wake up in the exact same position she fell asleep in.
To say she was a bit freaked out is an understatement... but i never heard anyone going to the toilet at night after that.
There was also apoint of about a month or so where everytime i would come from my room and go downstairs in the dark i would see a little figure out of the corner of my eye. It was a child with a blonde bob and a long white night dress (so could bea girl or an old fashioned boy) and the first few times it happened i automatically thoguht it was my little brother (even thought they looked nothing alike) who woke up and was in my mums rom looking for her. I'd turn to pick him up and no one would be there. I eventually started goingdownstairs with my eyes closed.
