To the best of my knowlgedge, there is no set "amount of times". I find that n order to do any spititual work, I have to be in the right mind set for myself,..mentally and spiritually. Sometimes I will attempt scrying inan effort to reduce some type of state of confusion and go in search of a sign. But I don't become dependant on it. For expample, I don't utilize scrying everytime I have an issus and want an answer. I don't think it would work for me when used in that manner.

I think it s very smart you are using smoe method of protection. You aslo might want to try centering yoursefl before proceeding with even the protction. If you are not familiar with any techniques, there are quite a few under the psychic development section in LESSONS.

Sorry, I can;t give you a definitive answer, but like I said I really don't know of any number.
