There is some speculation in the media here in Russia (where I am for now) as to how much Archimandrite Ephraim was paid by the Russians to bring the belt of the Theotokos to Russia. The Greek newspaper 'Kathimerini' seems to have reported objectively on this matter, and prima facie there is a case to answer. It is best to not to have an opinion until the facts have been established in a court of law.
