So would this statement lend credance to the Kathemerini editorial? This statement by the Phanar doesnt say much, what does, 'for this shapening of the situation in relation to the decision of this matter???'
If the Phanar replaces the abbot in the coming months with the excuse that his ongoing legal troubles makes it impossible to fulfill his spiritual duties, then i would have to agree that his coziness with the Russian church is the real reason for his jailing. A new abbot would be loyal to the EP and the greek state only, atleast the elder will be released soobn after on lack of evidence.
