As you must all be aware by now, the proposal to build a mosque and community center in the environs of Ground Zero has become a national controversy. Often ignored is the fact that there was an Orthodox church in the same general location, flattened by the disaster. While the proposal to build the mosque has sailed successfully through stormy seas, the proposal to rebuild St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church still lies in limbo, obstructed, allegedly, by the Port Authority of New York. Let the word go out from here to all, from the lowest peon to the President: NO MOSQUE WITHOUT THE CHURCH!
