Very interesting article here: Ark of the Covenant Revealed. The Ethiopian Church appears to be "unveiling" what they have claimed is the original Ark, brought from ancient Israel by Menelik, who was the son of King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba and the Jewish Emperor of ancient Ethiopia.

This event is supposed to happen Friday, 26 June 2009. It should prove interesting, at least for this bear of little brain.
