If our understanding of obedience were not already cloudy enough, the Ecumenical Patriarch has specifically and forcefully called upon we Americans to submit to him and none other. Perhaps the Antiochian Synod wishes to counter the Ecumencial Patriarch.

Sorry, I don't feel like being a pawn.

We can learn a lot about godliness and humility in being pawns. Really, what's the worst that can happen? Anything you can conjure up can be conjured up with equal urgency on the other side. That is, the patriarchs could have their own armegeddon scenarios to share if they DON'T tighten the reigns. In the end, it is our simply taske to leran to love Christ in humility and obedience to that which we don't understand is one of the best ways to do this.

Quite frankly, based on you last sentence, this is great blessing for you, seriously.
