Dear Scott, Dear Fr. David,

It seems clear that this chap has never been into an Orthodox Church - which would be up to par for the journalists I have known (many) - they never let a total ignorance of the facts stand in the way of a good story.

However, underneath this surface ignorance, there is an interesting story, which relates to so much that we discuss on this site - not least in the American Orthodoxy thread. Like many journalists, he may be a little wonky on his personal experience, but he has a good nose for trends, and the ones he describes do open opportunities for the future.

I do wonder, though, why he picked on the Serbs?
