So, copying a page or a booklet, is "a fahrang culture" and is ashaming.

But, copying hundreds or thousends of products with a fahrang brandname (I strongly doubt that there is an original product in Thailand) like Luis Vuitton, brandname watches, brandname bags, brandname sunglasses, etc. is OK.

A word comes to mind starting with "H".

Personally, I find it inappropriate for this publisher to use the word "fahrang" and feel that it is insulting in this context.

I have read the same "Foreword" in VCD's as well.
With a comment like "I strongly doubt that there is an original product in Thailand" it sounds like you're trolling to be honest. Nowy has explained the correct meaning of it already. There is nothing about copying pages or booklets in that passage - it starts off with a quote about not copying farangs and doing things your own way, then describing about how 'farang' style is regarded as modern and stylish nowadays and how people are afraid of being mocked or labelled as 'Lao' if your music is 'Thai style' instead.

So, copying a page or a booklet, is "a fahrang culture" and is ashaming. Where does it say that ? ÍÂèÒä»·ÓµÒÁ½ÃÑè§Áѧ¤èÒ means "don't do things like 'farangs' do them" (implying - find your own unique/Thai style instead) not "don't copy everything like those 'farangs' do "

I don't know why you seem so keen to be insulted by something that you say yourself you don't understand the meaning of!
