I now know she has two days off a month so is working 28 or 29 days depending on the month. And her wage equates to only 25 days at the minimum rate, and she has to pay for her room and meals.

Yesterday she was sick and didn't go in to work and was told that she will lose 400 Baht a day when she doesn't go in (yet she is being paid less than the minimum 180 Baht a day.)

Today she is still unwell but has gone to work; it can't be good having an unwell waitress handling food but by the restaurant stopping more than twice her daily wage for sick days she has been forced in to it.
