Anyone knows the meaning of this name, "Chakkapong" ?
chakra, chakkra จักร = the sharp gear wheel
pong พงศ์, พงษ์ = family, clan, a son of, ตระกูล
Chakra, Thai usually means a weapon of Phra Narai พระนารายณ์ , or other name Pra Visanu พระวิษณุ (Lord Vishnu), the one of three supreme gods of Hinduism. In this case Chakra is symbolic about Phra Narai, so it means Phra Narai, not weapon.
So Chakkrapong means Phra Narai clan, Phra Narai family or a son of Phra Narai.
