Well the last hotel I stayed in, Just asked for one night in advance which I payed for in cash, plus a photo copy of my passport, the reamainder of the stay was to be payed when I left. I stayed there 7 days, I could have walked out after 7 days and they would have had to take legal action to get there money if I walked out, although I payed for the final 6 days with a credit card on leaving so I had documentation for Tax purposes. I guess some hotels must have trust to do this. I guess a walker must be rare.
