McDonald's in the US has to battle with it's nutritional image. That movie Supersize Me, sensationalism at it's best, did a number to their image. Remember they always used to ask you if you wanted your meal supersized? Now they don't even do that. So these double Big Mac's and cheesy fries are just food for the media to attack them in the US.

What they don't have here, and it's too bad because it's a decent burger, is the Angus burgers. Because of the thickness of the patty, it actually requires new equipment to prepare it. That's why you don't see some of the smaller McDonald's in the US offering this burger because they don't have the space.

Incidentally, one of my best friends and owner/operator, was responsible for Ronald McDonald character doing a wai. I was just at the office in Sathorn a few weeks ago.
