When I first got married, I was overwhelmed with the amount of "befiefs" my wife had. This was overly apparent while we were looking for a house. It was almost impossible to find a house that met all the critiera.

The front of the house can't face West.
Bad luck to buy a house on the end of a "T" street.
Bad luck to buy a house where the back door lead directly into the basement.
Bad luck to have the headboard of our bed facing West or North.

Others are:
Bad luck to have your hair cut on Wednesdays.
We have to consult a furtune teller to detrmine where to place our fish tank for the best luck.
Don't wear new clothes on Monday.
If someone calls you at night, don't answer.

There are too many to remember so I thought maybe you could list some of your own or others that you know about.
