so for non buddhist holiday related things, they use a solar calender with 365 days a year but the first month in thailand is april?

so 08.01.2009 = 04.01.2552 there?

or better use the names of the months?

In Thailand the Solar Calender has adopted months and days from the Gregorian (western) calender, the years are still based on the Buddhist Calender.

So 08.01.2009 = 08.01.2552
