Not being a Thai my self, I can not answer for them about what is THEIR favorite pass time, but I do know what is my and my Thai wife`s favorite activity, when I go to stay with her, ..we go driving/sight seeing around bay of Thailand, we go shopping, watching tv,.these are our fave activities, but not neccessarily in that order :

Hunsolo, I had deleted some words in your above post which were not appropriate in a family-friendly site. My editing was reflected in the bottom of the page with my name (as the mod who moderated it), my comment and a time-stamp. But you 'edited' your post afterwards, though, frankly, I could not see anything changed after I had left it. However, your act effectively erased my name, and your name replaced mine. Even if you did not touch my comment, the next posts, especially that of Guava, now sound senseless and confusing because they're specifically referring to my edit. This is a minor matter, but this forum will appreciate it very much if you avoid doing the same thing again. Thank you very much for your cooperation.
