He was fired because his wheelbarrow was going "squeek... squeek... squeek..." [i.e. slowly] when his boss thought it should be going "squeek, squeek, squeek" [i.e. quickly].

Aaaaahhhhh, yes. Really, this is not a joke to be told in writing. How on earth is anyone supposed to get that? Actually, THAT'S the funny part of this episode!
