This year, thailandlife.com will be celebrating 10 years. If you don't know already, the website is about the daily life of Thai teenager Panrit "Gor" Daoruang. Through his blogs and articles, he has been promoting the Thai way of life to the world. Read about his life at school, his time as a monk, his wedding, his daughter and much more. Go with him on holidays around Thailand and visits to his local temple. If you want to see the real Thailand or to better understand Thai culture then this is an excellent starting point.

Gor started blogging about his life back in 1997 before blogging became fashionable. Many people have called him Thailand's first blogger. In fact a few years back he won an award for Thailand's Best Asian Blog. Gor has had a rollercoaster of a life and his secret diaries read more like the plot of a soap opera. Spotted by the Bangkok Post editorial staff when he was only 16, he wrote a weekly column for them for over two years. Gor's fight against drug addiciton has been no secret. He has used his own experience to warn other teenagers about the dangers of addiction. Today Gor is now 21 years old. His daughter is about to start Kindergarten. Sadly, Gor won't be there for her first day at school. He is presently sitting in a Thai prison. But, his life story is not ending there. Gor is presently writing his life memoirs which should be published in 2007. He is also writing notes for the updating of his Thailand Life website. Before Gor was sentenced last year, he was working on a major update of his website. This was interrupted when he was sent to prison. We have now finished this transformation for him and the new website is launched today. Over the coming months (and years) Gor will be working on updates.
