Badfish - re your post #19. Whatever words come to mind in describing Thai womens' hair, "unkempt" is not one of them. Thai women (and in fact the Thai people as a whole, but particularly urban Thais) are very careful about their personal appearance and generally maintain very high standards of grooming, hygeine and appearance.
nam phyyng, please don't misunderstand. I said it looks unkept compared to western standards. I don't mean that they are not hygienic, it's more simple and less dolled up than western women, that's all. The comparison is being made because hunsolo is a westerner and that's his observation.

My friend's Thai girlfriend has these long kinda bushy bangs and my ex said she looks like she just came from Thailand, too. I didn't say either way was better either. But to hunsolo's question, yes, there is a similarity in the way most Thai women do their hair and simplicity is the one word that can describe it for me. I know girls that will spend hours just to make their hair straight like Thai women, too.

Unkept and unkempt mean the same thing BTW.
