The fact that it happened is terrible to start with.
The fact that right now the leaders of the church still do not fully take responsibility is almost as terrible.
Weak excuses do not heal anything. (if healing is possible already). The entire church leadership should step down. It would both help the victims, who would see that the church learned lessons, takes responsibility, and understands the impact to these victims, it should also help the church because it could start with a clean start.
