Hello hello! I am a 25 year old American woman moving to Phukett in 8 days and want to know how Thai culture tolerates women with tattoos. I have a very large one on my back that extends to my shoulders and up to my neck. Should I always wear a t-shirt or is it ok to expose it...and where?

If u're a caucasian lady, u'll probably invite stares for showing off your large tattoo. But rest assure the Thai will not walk up to you and say anything nasty to you cos most of them are basically more tolerance towards foreigners....but if u're a Thai lady with a large Tattoo at the back..... well, maybe the indecent Thai men will take you for an indecent lady or aka lady of the night (by this it don't mean that u're super hero like batman or anything close. *LOL*) and gives u wolf whistles....
Like what Panrit said... jus wear anything you're comfortable with but I'm sure he dosen't mean you're allowed to wear bikini tank top to go to the temples.

Being discreet is still advisable in any part of the world.
