I think I found a good solution. Since I work for the airline the money exchange in the airport does not charge me any fee for money exchange. They also have baht here at my home airport in Texas. Which is exciting because when I checked at the NYC airport they did not carry baht. I'd expect baht to be at an airport exchange in New York before Houston.

Anyway. I can exchange the money for free and send her small amounts in the mail. If it gets stolen, it does. I will only hope the person who steals it needs it more than her.

But, I think this will be a good compromise. The exchange rate isn't that good though. Currently 36 baht per US dollar.
