DanD, I have a bank acct in the states with an ATM-check card which is a debit card with a VISA logo, Also I have an acct at Thai SCB, I go in and present my SCB passbook and my US ATM card and tell them how much I want to transfer, they do a CC thing like a CC charge, but it is a draft on the debit card, I sign the Credit Card type reciept and the money is in my Thai acct. at that very moment and I can go to the SCB ATM and the money is there.They print the money amount in my passbook, and it works well for my visa renewals as money brought into the country.
