This might be some off topic, But the USA ain't no great shakes as a dependable mail service either.

In 1967 I was working at Mercury Nevada and lived close to there.
I sold a place in Oregon and they sent some papers by registered mail to me to sign, That was 40 years ago this year and I still ain't recieved them.
