One of my earliest memories is the coronation of ER II. It was the first time I tasted chocolate. If I remember correctly, sugar was still being rationed then.

And as far as the rest goes, I have never had a very high opinion of politicians of any stripe. Long gone are the days (if they ever existed) when politicians served the community that elected them.
