Maybe, this farang did not have a registered business, he may just have got cash in hand for his own labor. Say for instance, this farang, was an IT expert, he could just advertise his services and get paid cash in hand, no tax, not much paper work, just cross the boarder every 30 days and get on with life. It even possible he hires Thai people cash in hand. The black market economy fluoresces all over the world.
