Maybe, this farang did not have a registered business,
But that's just it, he told me about all the troubles with paperwork ect setting up the business, just so he could own his own home in Thailand.
he may just have got cash in hand for his own labor. Say for instance, this farang, was an IT expert, he could just advertise his services and get paid cash in hand, no tax, not much paper work, just cross the boarder every 30 days and get on with life. It even possible he hires Thai people cash in hand. The black market economy fluoresces all over the world.
But is there any reson he couldn't do this with a work permit to avoid the border runs?
