AH YEA billk, But the Staffordshire terrier was not an American breed, and England had Pit Dogs long before they were ever brought to America.

And some of the dogs running loose around here do show some of the pit breeds features, and not all dogs will turn and run at aggressive actions from people, especially direct eye contact, that is an aggressive sign that will put most dogs on the defensive very fast.
