How about the price of gas a hol compared to petrol?

How about travelling with it. One reason of buying a new car is to use it to explore some of the more remote areas of Thailand. I even dream of driving to Vietnam or maybe India one day (maybe). Is gas a hol available elsewhere? Or can I have 2 tanks and use normal petrol when I cannot get gas a hol?
