Well, pretty much so, especially if she is on the tall side.
Now, if she's short then being a bit on the weighty side can be seen as cute as long as she has a pretty face to go along with it.

As we have discussed before, most Thai guys don't really prefer caucasian girls to Thais and one reason behind this is that a lot are tall, big-boned and on the weighty side.

The word 'fat' translated into Thai is not as dereogatory sounding as the English equivalent. In fact, many a time when a Thai says to a MAN "You look fatter" it is in fact a compliment!

I have this problem, i'm a bit on the skinny side, whenever i do put a bit of extra weight on a few folks will say "Now you look fat". They mean of course "Now you look better"!!

Thai girls don't reallly go for skinny guys. But as for the girls, the skinnier the better but of course there is a limit. Too skinny and the locals will think she has a nasty disease or something aloing those lines.

Try writing like this on an English based forum and the local girls will go off their heads at such a topic being discussed!! However, this is Thailand. Beauty counts lot in the eyes of a Thai.
