That "boy" was Micheal Fay... if i remember correctly.. well, its not "public" canning.. he got the whipped, but not in the public... i think he had to serve a short jail term too... he got canned in the jail... we don't really have "public" canning.. although, I did get it once for being a naughty boy back in school and was canned in front of the class... haha

After his punishment, he went back to his country and few months later he was in trouble again for beating up his father who protested against the canning earlier...
