I've a S'pore driving license, and it allows me to drive in Thailand.... got myself a letter from s'pore embassy saying our license are approved to drive here in Thailand... Don't need any international license. Anyway, since u don't have a license, u'll have to get it from the local authorities... sorry to say this but some amount of "tea money" helps shorten the process.... i've heard of some s'poreans getting their license here by paying that "tea money".... in the end he got the license within a day but he can't drive shit.. i hope he has trouble converting his Thai license to s'pore license... else he gonna get people killed..... i think thats the problem with traffic in Thailand.. too many "illegal" drivers!
