You should also be awre that the max time you can spend in Thailand officially is 30 days without a visa. Otherwise you will get a fine for each day over (its not a huge amount) or you will need to get over one of the borders and back in again. Also you can go to a Thai immigration office whilst there and ask them to extend your stay and for a small charge and a form to be filled in - they will usually oblige.
