Quote[/b] (mat @ Feb. 14 2005,03:33)]As I live close to Norwich I always fly from Norwich.I have only on 1 occasion flown from another airport and that was Heathrow.I had to leave about 5 hours or so before my flight, whereas a flight from norwich,is only 30 mins away and you can check in 30 mins before the flight.it might be a little more expensive but trust me,I have been to Thailand loads of times and it is so convenient.Thailand is 12 hours away from us and I would not advise a really cheap ticket as you will probably have to change loads of times and take more than 24 hours to get there.
Thats redicilous!!!
I have had what i consider to be relivantly cheap tickets...
raning from £400-£550....on two occasions I have had to stop once...Once at Amsterdam & once at Amman
Depending on the stop the time obviously varies but travelling from Cardiff > Amsterdam > Bkk the flight took about 11 hours...

I will always shop around for the cheapest tickets & if the cost is in my favour I will travel to fly from any alternative destination.

I suppose it is down to personal preference & financial capabilities. If I was offered a flight to Bkk for £200 & it would take 24 hours to fly there with several diversions I would take that ticket!!! I would surely be getting sleepy drunk on the plane too lol

Possibly, maybe, not sure yet! In June I will be looking for a ticket to Bkk....If I go I will post the departure location, total cost & time details of my flight & then you can see if it is worth shopping about & looking at other departure destinations.

Gl with your journeys anyway. Aslong as you get there safe not much else matters hu
