Which part of my post do you find rediculous,you have quoted the whole post.The type of cheap ticket that I was refering to was the type a friend used to travel to Thailand and was very cheap and took 24 hours to arrive and went via moscow and used Aeroflot.The person asking the question lives 30 min away from me so my advice was to use our local airport which cuts down traveling time by a lot.If you have to spend 3 hours + driving to Heathrow and also arrive 2 hours before the flight leaves for check in then you have extended you traveling by 5 hours.Also I wondered which Airline you used to fly Cardiff- Amsterdam-Bangkok in 11 hours.KLM fly from Amsterdam-Bangkok and they have the shortest flight times from Amsterdam as they are the Dutch national carrier and this flight alone takes 11 hours +
