It's not surprising if she has not been to Singapore before. She is treated as any ordinary tourist. She has been given the benefit of doubt and not treated with any suspicion whatsoever. If I am not wrong she is given a 2-week entry permit or even 1 month.

It is only a possible problem if she has been here recently and worse if frequentlyly. Your option of her working in GM is going to be tough, but she can go and ask, perhaps if she is lucky they might just have a vacancy.
