Outside of the tourist areas no not really, I am sure there are dozens in Bangkok, Chiang Mai may have a few, Pattaya may have a couple as well. But if you are heading away from the tourist areas, you will likely have trouble finding it. Are starches or carbohydrates harmful as well or is it simply the sugar?
As far as organic groceries, that is all you will find in Thailand, that is whay I am asking. I really don't foresee many health issues due to the food. It is all very fresh and very natural. I would suggest avoiding some fruits, mango can get very very high in sugar for example.
But to answer the question without being a resident, I would go with no fear, as soon as you arrive in bkk, ask the taxi driver to take you to a really big rahmkah.
