Paul, I do remember reading this in another thead several months ago. I would probably be upset too if I were in your situation. I do think that your gift was a bit expensive and the money could have been better spent elsewhere, but your heart was in the right place. Had I been on the receving end of the stuffed koala bear I would have shown nothing but respect and gratitude and kept all other thoughts to my self.

The gift I'm going to buy is not for my Girlfriend, but for another good friend of mine in Thailand. Although I would like to be extragent, I simply can not afford to be at this moment. I am not a rich like you paul. The plane tickets them selves have to be saved up for for 3 or 4 months. Thanks for the tips guys. I will probably get her a modestly priced piece of Jewlry and some perfume.
