I think use of fake products is due to poor QC. The ipod, iphone and ipads all seem to be very very well made and all comes from China.

So it all depends of QC.

The problem is, after awhile, they cut corners to save on costs. Where health is concerned, don't play play with Chinese products. Clothes, furnitures, carpets etc it's ok. Plane and its parts, better not.
