Man in acid attack case remanded

KUALA TERENGGANU: A 32-year-old man detained in connection with an acid attack in Kampung Sekayu, Hulu Terengganu, has been remanded for six days to facilitate police investigations.

Scarred for life: Che Ku Zaimah (left) and Nurul Dahyatul Fazlinda, the wife and daughter of the man who allegedly splashed acid on his family, recovering in the hospital in Kuala Terengganu on Monday.

The man, who fled after allegedly splashing acid on his former wife, daughter and two other family members after failing to borrow RM30 from them, was arrested at Kampung Kuala Poh, Pasir Nering in Hulu Terengganu on Monday. An eight-year-old girl was badly scarred as a result of the 2am attack on Sunday.
