I think the whole "Combat Operations are Over" is 10 lbs of political posturing wrapped in a 5 lb sack. According to the Pentagon, US troops will continue accompanying Iraqi army elements on patrol. Some of those patrols will inevitably result in...........combat. I'll start to believe in such rhetoric when the last American soldier leaves Iraqi soil, not when it's politically expedient for an increasingly unpopular US President* who is looking for a silver lining to something before November.

*I voted for him and possibly will again, but I don't like what he's doing here.
